What is Parent University?
Hosted by SD 308, Parent University, is a free and welcoming resource designed to strengthen the connection between school and home. These events offer engaging and informative sessions led by expert guest speakers on important topics such as financial literacy, supporting your child’s learning at home, digital safety, navigating different family dynamics, and more.
Each Parent University event is unique, featuring new speakers and evolving resources to meet the needs of our diverse community. We proudly offer Spanish sessions and professional translation services, ensuring every family feels supported and included.
To make participation easy for all families, we provide free childcare, engaging activities for young learners, and helpful take-home “Swag Bags” filled with valuable resources. Parent University is more than just an event—it’s a way to connect, learn, and grow together. We believe that student success is a shared effort, embracing the idea that "It Takes a Village."
We are committed to expanding our programming and offering more inclusive sessions to ensure all families feel welcome and empowered. Join us at Parent University and be part of a supportive community dedicated to helping every student thrive!

“During my presentation on social media and youth mental health, I appreciated the engagement from parents and the opportunity to provide insights that support our young people’s well-being. It was a truly rewarding experience, and I am grateful for the chance to be part of such an impactful initiative."
