Food Drive

Hunger is less prevalent in our community thanks to the Kendall County Community Food Pantry (KCCFP) providing thousands of food and household items to families every month. Since the first Food Drive, which was held in 2014, Oswego Community Unit School District 308 and Allied First Bank continue to help keep the KCCFP and the Oswego Satellite Location well stocked!

With the Kendall County Community Food Pantry’s bulk buying power every $1 contributed to the KCCFP purchases $8 in groceries. A $10 donation feeds someone for a week!  A $10 donation is equivalent to 80 food items in the Food Drive Competition.

COMPETITION INFORMATION

All schools in the district will participate in the district’s Annual Food Drive Competition.   This is a yearly, friendly competition between schools, with the school collecting the most combined total of actual items and "equivalent" items (through monetary donations), being awarded with the coveted Grand Championship trophy and "bragging" rights. Also recognized are the Elementary, Junior High and High Schools with the highest collection totals per student.

All PayPal donations as well as in-person cash/check donations will be counted as $1 = 8 items towards the competition count (checks made payable to KCCFP)

ALL donations made online through the KCCFP Donation Portal will be designated for a specific school.

LEVEL UP AWARD

Schools who go above and beyond by out-performing their previous year's collection totals will be recognized with a "LEVEL UP" Award. This is in recognition of them setting their collection goal high and achieving it.
