State Representative Stephanie Kifowit acted as Churchill Principal for a Day

On Tuesday, October 18, 2016, Illinois State Representative Stephanie Kifowit visited Churchill Elementary School as part of the Illinois Principals Association (IPA) Principal for a Day program. Hosted by Churchill Principal Tammie Harmon, Representative Kifowit visited several classrooms and participated in many student led activites. The IPA Principal For A Day program provides opportunities for principals and other administrators to build and refine relationships with their State and Federal legislators. During her visit to Churchill, Representative Kifowit had the opportunity to meet with many students and teachers, sat in on classroom presentations, and spoke with students about her role as a legislator, how a bill becomes law, and other functions of state government.
