Principal

It is my privilege to serve as the principal of Fox Chase Elementary School.  I received my bachelor’s degree in special education from Illinois State University in Normal, Ill. in 1977. I began my teaching career in Valley View District 365U in Bolingbrook, Ill. working with students with language and behavior disorders.  The following year, I moved to School District 308, as a special education resource teacher at Thompson Junior High School for three years and then at Long Beach Elementary School for five years.  I took 10 years away from education to work with my husband in our family’s business, and was so fortunate to return to education as a special education resource teacher at East View Elementary School. It was during my time as an East View Eagle that I completed two master’s degrees, one in learning disabilities and the other in educational administration, both from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill.

After one year as the assistant principal at East View Elementary School, I was excited to be named as the principal of Fox Chase Elementary School, where I’ve now been a Jaguar for the last nine years. Fox Chase is a student-centered community where home and school partner to make a difference for the children we share. I value the opportunity to continue to learn and grow here at Fox Chase.
