Principal

I am proud to serve as principal of Old Post Elementary School. I happily became a Wildcat in July 2014. I bring over 20 years of experience in the field of education to Old Post Elementary School. My experience includes three years as a middle school assistant principal, four years as a middle school dean of students, and 11 years as a classroom or resource teacher at the elementary level. In addition I have served as an educational consultant with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and as a graduate level course instructor for Pearson.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, with a minor in psychology. I earned my master’s degree in teaching and learning along with my administration certification from Saint Xavier University, Chicago.

I hope to continue with the wonderful traditions that have been established at Old Post and to create new and innovative memories that may one day become great Old Post traditions.

Assistant Principal

I am very excited to be part of the Old Post Family! Go Wildcats! I began my teaching career as a first grade teacher in Palos Heights, where I stayed for 6 years. I have also worked for Parkland College for the Illinois Migrant Program as a reading specialist/teacher evaluator during the summer months.

I attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign obtaining a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I continued my education by obtaining my master's degree as a Reading Specialist and my second master's degree in Educational Leadership, both through Olivet Nazarene University. I also attended Lewis University for my LBS1 Special Education Endorsement.

District 308 is a wonderful school district and I am fortunate to be part of the family!

I joined the administrative team at Old Post Elementary during the 2015-2016 school year as a Special Education Coordinator with Kendall County Special Education Cooperative.  Before joining School District #308, I served as a learning behavior specialist for 15 years.  In this role, I worked with students within a self-contained classroom, ED programs, and as a co-teacher at the elementary and junior high levels.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from St. Xavier University, Chicago and then continued on to receive a master’s degree in special education with a director of special education endorsement.  I received a second master’s degree in educational leadership from Governor’s State University, University Park, IL.  Currently, I am working toward a doctoral degree at the University of St. Francis, Joliet, IL in educational leadership with a superintendent endorsement.
