November 2015

Character Counts at East View! Our Character Counts program is in full swing and it is amazing how your children are showing Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship throughout our building.  We recently had some mini-assemblies where we learned that we are expected to show good character in the bathrooms and on the bus.  East View students are going to get the opportunity to show Caring during the months of November and December though our Coins for Caring program.  We will be collecting change (pennies, dimes, nickels, and quarters) in a large jug.  School wide goals will be set and celebrations will be held as the goals are met (stuffed animal day, pajama day, dance party).  100% of the money collected will go directly towards helping East View students and their families who are in need during the holiday season.  (More information to follow)  You may also help your child learn the benefit of caring for others in non-monetary ways during this season.  Kind words, gestures of kindness, and sharing of talents let the people around us know we care.
