Mr. Mike Wayne

Principal

Mike Wayne grew up in south suburban Crete, Ill., and graduated from Crete-Monee High School in 1982. After receiving his teaching degree from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Wayne joined the faculty at Rich South High School in Richton Park, Ill., where he taught social studies and coached tennis and football.

Upon earning his master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Wayne became dean of students at Niles West High School in Skokie, Ill. He then moved to Downers Grove North High School where he served 10 years as associate principal. He was appointed principal of Oswego High School in July, 2006.

Dr. Gregory Baker

Assistant Principal

Dr. Gregory Baker is the assistant principal for student services at Oswego High School.  He began his educational career in 2003 as a social studies teacher at Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL.  At the beginning of Dr. Baker’s ninth year of service at Proviso West, he became the department chair for social studies and world languages.  Then in 2013, Dr. Baker served as a dean of students at Glenbard East High School in Lombard, IL.

Dr. Baker earned his doctorate degree in cultural and educational policy studies from Loyola University (Chicago, IL), master’s degree in school leadership from Concordia University Chicago (River Forest, IL), and his bachelor’s degree in History from Illinois State University (Normal, IL).

Assistant Principal

William Nunamaker is the assistant principal for operations at Oswego High School. He began his educational career in 2003 as an English teacher at Farragut Career Academy in Chicago where he also served as the English Department chair. In 2010, Nunamaker moved to Plainfield East High School as a dean of students.

Nunamaker earned his master’s degree in educational administration from North Central College, Naperville, Ill., and his bachelor’s degree in English education from Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago.

Ms. Tania Shepherd

Assistant Principal

Tania Shepherd began her educational career in 2003 as an English teacher at Plainfield South High School. In 2008, she opened Plainfield East High School as the English Department chair and then served as the Humanities Division chair from 2012 to 2014.


During her time as an English teacher and division chair, Shepherd taught all levels of students from at-risk to advanced placement, assisted in leading the Common Core Curriculum renewal process, and acted as an instructional coach for teachers as well as an academic dean for students at risk of failing.


Shepherd earned her master’s degree in educational administration from Governors State University, in University Park, Ill., and her bachelor’s degree in English education from Illinois State University, Normal.

Ms. Deven Butosov

Special Education Coordinator

Deven Butusov began her educational career in 2003 as a school social worker with Kendall County Special Education Cooperative (KCSEC). During her time as a school social worker, Butusov served a variety of students with special education needs in the therapeutic day school setting. In 2009, Butusov became a Special Education Coordinator with KCSEC. Throughout the years in this role, Butusov coordinated special education programming at Opportunity School, Oswego High School, and Oswego East High School.

 

Butusov earned her master’s degree in educational administration from Governor’s State University (University Park, IL), her master’s degree in social work from Aurora University (Aurora, IL), and her bachelor’s degree in social work from Illinois State University (Normal, IL).
