  • It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that the beloved children’s author we are studying this year, Amy Krouse Rosenthal, has passed away from ovarian cancer.  Amy embodied the purest form of optimism, joy and love in all of her life’s adventures. She asks us in one of her thought provoking quotes, “In remembering you, what words will others choose?” For our dear Amy we choose: inspiring, creative, friendship and kindness. We will be honoring Amy by sharing how she has inspired us as readers and writers on our Southbury learning tree. We will also be celebrating her life during the author panel scheduled on Friday, May 5th.
